“I’ve come to a frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom… In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated, and a child humanized or
It was more than 30 years ago that I read this quote and have never forgotten the privilege, responsibility and trust it speaks of, that you as a parent bestow on me to educate and love on your child each and every week.
On a proud fatherhood note, I have 3 incredibly gifted adult children who have all been through the Junior Gym program and yes the Dad in me loves talking about them ☺.
The Junior Gym ‘nest’ is a MOBILE Gymnastics and Sport Fitness program for ages 18 months to 12 years. Classes are offered at participating Child Learning Centers and township recreation programs throughout the tri-state area. Today, after more than 30 years in operation, we continue to educate and inspire little people to feel good about themselves and their efforts in a fitness fun environment.
Hi Guys! My name is Greg Grant. I've been coaching Jr. Gymers for almost a decade. My background is in Psychology (West Chester U.), personal training and tennis instruction. For the past 20 yrs, my passion has been for the teaching and mentoring of children. I've known what my "calling" was since I was a child. Fortunately for me, as an adult, I get to realize that calling every day!
Hello, my name is Rick Stranix. I have a wonderfully energetic wife Janice, and two incredible children, Lexi and Jake. I have been playing sports and exercising since I can remember. I started springboard diving at 7 years old and continued through high school. After having children I coached youth soccer, baseball, basketball and lacrosse. I've been with Uth Fitness since September of 2006. I greatly enjoy playing the role of coach and confidence builder, and comedian and storyteller, and even just plain friend. I consider myself lucky to be able to spend my day watching children smile and laugh as I teach them how to use their minds and muscles.
Hey! I’m Coach Mitchell. I am the husband of an amazing wife and the father of two incredible kids. I received my HPE Teaching Certification in 2008 through West Chester University’s post bachelor’s program.
Throughout my life I have always had a love for many different sports. A few of these I went on to play at both the high school and collegiate levels. Since having kids I have also had opportunities to coach basketball, flag football, soccer and lacrosse.
I consider myself blessed to be in a profession in which I am able to utilize my passions for both fitness and being a positive roll model for children.
Hello! My name is Amanda Harrison and I am the office administrator here. 😃 I have been part of the Uth Fitness team since 2011 and have enjoyed my job so much! I have a background myself in gymnastics as I was on the Upper Bucks competition team for 12 years and been coaching almost 20 years. Please don't ever hesitate to call or email with any questions you may have whether it be about what we do as a program or in regards to the tuition due. I look forward to speaking with you!
”There are not enough words to describe the respect I have for all the coaches. They have helped to instill confidence in my son. They have made him self-confident and he loves every moment of Junior Gym. I hope it will do the same for my daughter next year.“
